8 GATES
8.0 Entrance to the village for visitors to the Isle of Tarns is through the main gate or the Free Person's gate.
8.0.a. The main gate is controlled by the Warrior (Red) Caste.
8.0.a.1. In the absence of the Warrior Caste at the gate(s) the following may permit entry through the citizen gate:
*Free Men
*Free Woman
*Slaves, if no free are available
8.0.b. Visitors to the Isle of Tarns entering or exiting the village without going through the gate is illegal. This includes entry on foot, ship, boat, tarn, or any other beast, and lock picking. You can be arrested, incarcerated, and/or impaled. (exception is legal raids, see Raid Rules).
8.0.c. The Isle of Tarns includes all lands on the main sim and the homestead with the exception of the the landing boat and attached dock, and the piers outside of the gates. Visitors are permitted to roleplay freely in the pier location, and are not deemed to have 'entered' the village, but are subject to the laws of the Village of the Isle of Tarns, except 8.0, and 8.1.
8.0.d. Any resident or citizen assisting a visitor to enter the village, without going through the gate procedures, shall be guilty of assisting illegal entry of a visitor.
8.1. All Range Weapons of visitors must be stowed in the racks provided. (Minimum RP of stowing all range weapons)
8.1.a. Armed/Fighting Slaves must stow ALL weapons.
8.1.b. Free Women are allowed to carry daggers, hair pins, and whips. Swords, bows, spears, and other non-female weapons are not allowed.
8.1.c. Warriors from cities with a direct military alliance with the Isle of Tarns are allowed to keep all weapons, including range weapons.
8.2 ALL visitors to the Isle of Tarns are subject to the laws of the Isle of Tarns, and may be incarcerated for any offense.
8.3 The gates are considered a solid entity when closed. You may not:
* Fire arrows through the gates
* Attack with a sword or other weapon through the gates
